chair pair plus

I built the chair pair plus out of common, familiar materials to create an adaptable and accessible seating set. In the stacked position of an armchair, the backrest and arm panels angle beyond 90 degrees to support a more relaxed posture. The base has a wooden board tapered to perfectly hold the top unit in place. The chair pair can quickly adapt to four stools, four mini floor desks, support a tabletop, or even become display shelving. Living with my chair pair plus for over half a decade, has shown me how a versatile object made with care can adapt to a range of human exchanges and environments.
