Minneapolis Bike Shop Design
See-Do Collective 2017

Cycles for Change was the initial project for See-Do, the civic design collective I founded with two of my fellow Minneapolis designers. See-Do assisted C4C as they transitioned to a new location. We created a layout, provided a material guide, and designed a repeatable furniture building system allowing C4C to make their own interventions as the bike shop grew. See-Do organized a community build day. A series of tasks were planned so people from the neighborhood could easily get involved in sanding, moving, and constructing parts of the new C4C bike shop. This event introduced the community to the new location and built personal connections. With many hands to help, we elevated economical material, like OSB, to a higher quality. During the community build day we had our design process on display in a neighboring gallery to share the dreams of the new bike shop.
